Overcoming Addiction Through Deep Nervous System Healing

Mind and body are one. For over 30 years I engaged in deep shadow work and trauma healing, confronting repressed emotions, childhood wounds and limiting patterns. Yet the most profound trauma, the primal shock experienced immediately after birth, remained untouched. It had been overlooked because the central nervous system, the body’s primary storehouse of unresolved experience, was never directly addressed.

Trauma is stored not only in the mind but in the cells and nervous system itself, where it persists until consciously released. Only after incorporating practices that regulate and heal the central nervous system — breathwork, somatic awareness and energy alignment, was I able to access and resolve this foundational layer.

Once released, the grip of a 20 year alcohol addiction finally loosened, allowing true freedom to emerge. This integration opened the door to authentic spiritual connection, unclouded by unresolved survival responses. The topics in this section explore the tools and insights that made this transformation possible.
